At 6:57 pm on May 25, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Dispatchers placed a lookout for a motorcycle said to be traveling at speeds over 100 mph. The motorcycle was last seen on Route 4 and traveling across the Thomas Johnson Bridge into St. Mary’s County. St. Mary’s County deputies observed a bike fitting the description and pulled the cycle over at Route 4 and 235. The operator of a Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 was identified as Terence Anthony Harley Jr., 45, of Charles County. Calvert Deputy Ward responded to St. Mary’s county and identified the cycle and operator. There was an open warrant for Harley from Florida, but officials from Florida said they would not extradite. Ward then conducted a Standardized Field Sobriety Test and upon completion of the test, placed Harley under arrest for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Harley was transported to the Calvert Sheriff’s Office.
