On June 20, 2013 at 8:54 am, patrol units responded to a private residence in Drayden for the report of a burglary. Upon arrival it was discovered unknown culprits had pried open the rear door of the residence and five guns had been stolen. BCI was requested and responded to assume the investigation. During the investigation three suspects were identified and multiple searches were conducted in the area where the suspects resided resulting in the recovery of the stolen firearms. Two suspects were taken into custody during searches of residences, Andrew T. Kenney, 26, and John W. Alvarado, 35, both of Lexington Park. Detectives later located and arrested Devon C. Johnson, 28, at a residence in Lexington Park. All three were transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center, charged with First Degree Burglary, Theft $1,000 – $10,000 and Malicious Destruction of Property under $500. Johnson was originally placed on a $35,000 bond, Johnson’s bond has since been lowered to $5,000. Alvarado and Kenney were placed on a $10,000 bond.
