On July 25, 2013 at 7:30 am, a home owner on Marshall Court in the Carrington Neighborhood in Waldorf, discovered components of a chemical reaction improvised explosive device (“soda bottle bomb”) on their front doorstep and in their front yard. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and requested the State Fire Marshal’s Office for a post blast investigation. Upon examination of the evidence, it was determined that someone intentionally manufactured the devices and intentionally threw them at and in the victim’s property.
