Maryland’s Buy Local Challenge Week, July 20-28, 2013: “I pledge to eat at least one item from a local farm every day during Buy Local Week!” All you have to do to TAKE THE CHALLENGE is commit to eating local during Buy Local Week (July 20-28, 2013). You can also participate in this year’s CONTEST: “Take the Challenge Outdoors.” One winning entry will receive a prize basket valued at $200. In additon, a donation of fresh local farm food valued at $200 will be made in the winner’s name to local families in need via the Maryland Food Bank and partners statewide.
