In April 2012, Maureen Frederick, who worked as an Administrative Aide to the Calvert Board of County Commissioners, was nominated as the April Employee for 2012. She was Calvert’s Employee of the Year for 2012 , recognized for her dedication, diligence and commitment to excellence. While Maureen’s supervisor was out on a medical issue for approximately sixteen weeks, she stepped up and prepared the Commissioner’s packet for the agenda, scheduled items for the agenda, and made all the arrangements for the multitude of meetings the Commissioners attend. In addition to filling in for her supervisor, she also handled her job, which included handling 71 boards and commissions and answering all the commissioners’ questions. She had a great customer service attitude and was great to work with because of her attention to detail. When her supervisor came back to work, she was able to pickup and move forward due to Maureen’s work and said she was able to rest and recuperate much faster knowing Maureen was filling in for her.
