UPDATE: Victim identified as 32 year old Kimberly Matalice Sitko of White Plains, Maryland. Investigation is continuing. 8/1/12: On Thursday, August 1, at approximately 1:10am , a green 1999 Toyota Tacoma was traveling northbound on US Route 301, just prior to Jaybee lane, in White Plains. The Toyota was operated by 61 year old Peter Ross of Indian Head. The Toyota struck a female who was standing in lane #2, while it was raining. The female pedestrian succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. The body was transported to the office of the chief medical examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. In an effort to identify the female pedestrian, several businesses and neighborhoods were checked with negative results. The pedestrian was approximately 30 to 40 years of age, and approximately 5 ft 7in, 150 pounds with brown colored hair and at this time is still unidentified.
