While the president prepares for a “‘fun and informative’ bus tour on college costs,” his administration is making it harder for young Americans – and all other workers – to find a full-time job in his economy. The Hill says the Obama administration is busy “solidifying the power of bureaucrats who churn out regulations,” “resulting in a steady increase in the number of federal mandates.” These are the same kinds of mandates and red tape repeatedly cited by small business owners as a top problem. “Energy policy is more confused than ever and the volume of new regulations is mounting,” said Bill Dunkelberg, an economist for the nation’s largest small business group, NFIB. “Should I even mention the mounting problems with Obamacare?” He doesn’t have to. “Employers around the country, from fast-food franchises to colleges, have told NBC News that they will be cutting workers’ hours below 30 a week” because of the president’s health care law. Full time jobs are disappearing in ObamaCare’s maze of regulations, mandates, and red tape. But the White House hasn’t been listening.
