If you are interested in local history or just talking with interesting people, Calvert Library Twin Beaches Branch has an event for you the second Thursday of each month at 10am. Calvert Conversations is an informal “coffee and tea” gathering of people who share an interest in local history. The first one of the season will be held on September 12. Topics spring from the group. Whatever the majority are interested in, the conversation follows. Last year, old photographs were popular, so on September 12 participants are encouraged to bring local pictures to discuss. What do photographs tell us? What don’t they tell us? On October 10, the group will learn more about Fishing Creek’s treasures and history. Every month promises to be interesting and fun. You help decide what the group learns about.
