Five exemplary Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) employees were honored by the Board of Education on February 12. Honored were Lenora Green, Nicholas Adam, Caitlin Sinclair, Linda Adgate and Lakeisha Webster. Green is a special education teacher at Berry Elementary School. She was honored for recognition for consistently seeking opportunities for professional growth to help support her students. Green is well organized and prepared, and genuinely supports the success of her students. She shares her knowledge and expertise with other teachers and helped implement a leadership academy for students at Berry. Green is also the special education department chair, a member of the school crisis team and helps coach the Berry Special Olympics team. Berry Principal Marvin Jones said that Green is a highly valued member of the Berry staff. “Ms. Green’s dedication is truly admired and well respected throughout our school community. Her commitment to her students stretches well-beyond what she does in the classroom,” Jones wrote in a nomination statement. Adam is a special education teacher at Eva Turner Elementary School.
