For Charles County Sheriff’s Office’s Special Olympics and Youth Programs An evening of dinner and dancing – sounds romantic, right? How about dinner and dancing for a good cause? The Charles County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) will host a gala fundraiser Fri., September 20, at the Greater Waldorf Jaycees Community Center. The semi-formal affair will raise money for Special Olympics Maryland and the Charles County Sheriff’s Office’s numerous youth outreach programs including Badges for Baseball, Football Camp, Just Say No and others. Tickets are $125 per couple and include admission, dinner, beer and soda. Attendees must be 18 years of age or older. A social hour will begin at 6 pm, followed by dinner at 7 pm and then music, dancing and raffle drawings for prizes including a $5,000 cash grand prize.
