Lion Mike Payne and Lion Rich Richardson of the Leonardtown Lion’s Club present a check for two thousand dollars ($2,000) to Colonel Andre Mercier, Commanding Officer of the Marine Aviation Detachment, along with Mr. Sonny Fann, the Wounded Warrior Project Coordinator for NAVAIR to help with their efforts to provide programs and assistance to injured service members. The Leonardtown Lions are proud to be a part of the world’s largest service organization, Lions International, and have been a chartered Maryland Lions Club since 1940. The Leonardtown Lions provide vision and medical screening, vision health support, hearing aid support, and a large variety of other services to the community. The Lions are also proud of the fact that nearly 100% of all proceeds from their fund raising events go to these services.
