On September 9, 2013 a renovation worker, at 10900 Allen Fresh Road in Charlotte Hall, called the Charles County Sheriff’s Office to report an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was a 2008 Dodge Caravan. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Georgia. It had been sitting for approximately two weeks until the construction workers called it in to the Sheriff’s Office. It was completely destroyed after unknown suspect(s) intentionally set fire to the interior of the van. The estimated loss is $8,000.
