Maryland State Police from the Leonardtown Barrack are investigating the following incidents: CDS Arrest – On September 15, 2013 at 11:52 pm, TFC E. Mersman attempted to stop a red Chevy Tahoe for a minor traffic infraction. The operator of the vehicle failed to stop and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The operator of the vehicle finally came to a stop and TFC Mersman arrested the driver of the vehicle. He was identified as Ricardo Cornell Garrett, 34, of Accokeek. A routine computer check revealed Garrett had an open Circuit Court warrant through St. Mary’s County for Child Support. A search of the car revealed a quantity of PCP. Mr. Garrett was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center, charged and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. Warrant Service – On Monday, September 16, 2013 at 7:14 pm, TFC N. Gresko served a Bench Warrant on Jason Alan Decker, 23, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary’s County with an original charge of Possession of CDS Paraphernalia on September 13, 2013.
