The Planning Commission consists of seven citizens appointed by the Charles County Commissioners. The Planning Commission is charged with implementation, rezoning requests, approval authority for subdivision of a property in the county, and developing and recommending a comprehensive plan for the county to adopt. The 2014 Charles County Compensation Commission meeting dates are as follows: • Monday, Jan. 6 and 27 • Monday, Feb. 10 and 24 • Monday, March 10 and 24 • Monday, April 7 and 21 • Monday, May 5 and 19 • Monday, June 2 and 16 • Monday, July 7 and 21 • Monday, Aug. 4 and 18 • Monday, Sept. 8 and 22 • Monday, Oct. 6 and 20 • Monday, Nov. 10 and 24 • Monday, Dec. 8 and 22 Meetings will be held at the Charles County Government Building (200 Baltimore Street, La Plata) in the County Commissioners’ Meeting Room at 6 pm.
