UPDATE: On December 6 at 10:45 a.m., members of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Squad located David Carnell Stringer, 49, of Accokeek who was wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in 2003. Stringer was located at an address in Clinton, MD and was arrested without incident. Stringer went before District Court Commissioner, Christopher Leseman and bail was set at $3,000. Stringer was released after posting the established bond pending further action by judicial authorities. Charles County Sheriff Rex W. Coffey is pleased to announce that Det. J. Austin of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division has solved an armed robbery that occurred ten years ago. 12/3/2013: On March 20, 2003, at 9:30 a.m., patrol officers responded to the Bank of Southern Maryland at 2595 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. The victim said he had just made a transaction at the drive-thru window and was leaving when a car suddenly stopped in front of him. Then, another car struck him from behind.
