At his weekly press briefing today, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) highlighted the dozens of jobs bills passed by the House that remain stalled in the Democratic-led Senate. Boehner also discussed the House’s ongoing oversight of the Obama administration and its actions on Benghazi, IRS targeting, the impact of the president’s health care law, and more. Following are Boehner’s remarks: Boehner on House-Passed Jobs Bills Stalled in the Democratic-Run Senate: “You know, the House is the body that’s closest to the American people, and the American people want us to focus on jobs. That’s what the House has done this year, and it’s what we’re going to continue to do in the new year. “Just this year, we’ve passed bills related to energy, education, regulation, innovation, health care, workplace flexibility, cyber security, job training – to just name a few of the bills. There are literally dozens of bills that are sitting in the United States Senate awaiting action.
