House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) announced today that Kelly Craven will replace Ed Cassidy as Director of House Operations in the Speaker’s office. “Kelly Craven is a dedicated, experienced public servant and longtime friend of our team,” Speaker Boehner said. “I’m proud to – officially – welcome her to the Speaker’s Office as our Director of House Operations.” Craven currently serves as Staff Director of the House Administration Committee. She is a former chief of staff for then-Rep. Steve Buyer (R-IN), and Deputy Staff Director for the House Veterans Affairs Committee. Craven also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs under President George W. Bush, and was a 5th grade teacher at St. James Catholic School in Falls Church, Virginia.
