The Executive Administrative Assistant for general Services Deborah K Shirley retired on January 24, 2014, after devoting 21 years of service to the Calvert County government and its citizens. Debbie began her career on September 8, 1992 as a Secretary I with the Office on Aging. In 1994 she accepted a position as Secretary II with Inspections and Permits and the following year her title was changed to Permit Technician I. In 1999 she was promoted to Office Specialist with Project Management & Inspections and in 2003 was again promoted Executive Administrative Aide with the Department of General Services. Her title was later changed to Executive Administrative Assistant. Debbie has provided reliable and exemplary service to Calvert County and to those who worked with her. Her service to the local government has been one of commendable and distinguished service, and one of commitment and pride. Debbie has been very professional in her job, always being polite and pleasant, regardless of the circumstances. She has consistently completes her assignments, helping others and is the epitome of quietly competent.
