Will Focus on Food Issues The Southern Maryland Food Council is hosting a Foodways Community Networking Event. This is a free public event meant to connect people interested in diverse food-related topics. Participants will discuss their unique interests and experiences, then make connections between food system sectors not normally thought to intersect in order to solve food issues in novel and exciting ways. The event is on Wednesday, May 7th at the Waldorf Jaycees building in Charles County. Activities include an optional open networking session from 6:30 – 7 pm, an event introduction at 7 pm, and focused roundtable networking/discussions from 7-9 pm. Participants will network in small, diverse groups, then rotate among groups in order to foster new connections and ideas.
