On January 29, 2014 Deputy Pleisse responded to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center for an assault on a correctional officer. The investigation revealed inmate Dwayne Anthony Thompson, 51, of Loveville, threw a cup liquid on Correctional Officer Bowling. Thompson was charged with 2nd Degree Assault on DOC Employee. On January 26, 2014, Deputy S. Cameron responded to the St. Mary’s Landing Apartments leasing office in Lexington Park for a theft. The apartment manager reported two television sets had been stolen from the complex’s 24 hours gym. Deputy Cameron’s investigation revealed the key card belonging to a prior resident had been used to enter the gym during the time the crime occurred. Deputies responded to the apartment and located 4 subjects inside, including the boyfriend of the prior residence, identified as Sidney Hilton Thompson Jr., 19, of Lexington Park. Thompson was in possession of evidence connecting him to the theft of the television sets. Thompson was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.
