Can we put emotion on the sidelines and have a fact-based conversation about #Obamacare? We deserve it. Obamacare was passed with the promise that it would: -allow you to keep your health-insurance plan if you were happy with it -reduce by $2,500, healthcare costs per family -reduce the nation’s uninsured population -reduce the deficit -and create jobs. By no credible measure has Obamacare done any of this. Unfortunately, it has worsened the problems it was designed to fix. Here’s what it has done: -led to the cancellation of over 6 million insurance plans with millions more to come when the employer mandate hits at the end of the year -increased costs by double, and in some cases, triple-digit percentages -shut off legions of patients from their doctors, as healthcare networks are consolidated to comply with Obamacare cost regulations -led to the creation of unemployed men & women known as the “49ers” because they lost their jobs to fit under the 50 employee threshold -added nearly a trillion dollars of debt to 10-year budget projections -and cost the nation hundreds of thousands of jobs, according to today’s CBO report.
