Maryland taxes what you buy, what you sell, your land, your home, your car, gasoline, boats, it even taxes death and the rain. Not to be outdone by the absurd “Rain Tax”, our “benevolent” lawmakers are now proposing the Chicken Tax. Yes, the Chicken Tax. If there is one thing our one-party Democratic monopoly does best, it’s driving businesses out of the state. This legislation will assuredly speed the exodus of the many farmers and food-producers who are likely planning their exits now. Maryland politics is beginning to remind me of a t-shirt I once saw that read, “The Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves”.
