Summer camp listings are now listed in the latest issue of The Peeper. Members can register for camps starting March 3; nonmembers must wait until March 17. To register for the camps, you will have to be entered into our online database, If you have not already logged on to our website, www.calvertparks.org, now would be a good time to do that. Also in The Peeper are listings for some great spring events. In addition to our camps and nature programs, we have two War of 1812 events at Kings Landing and a new list of Artist Access Days. See you at the parks! Be a Junior Ranger Our Junior Ranger programs offered to young people between the ages of 10 and 16 are considered a part of our BCNES Junior Ranger series. Junior Ranger programs are designed to encourage developing minds to appreciate and protect the nature around them. Part of this learning process is simply participating in fun outdoor activities like camping and hiking through the woods. Others are focused on learning survival skills like archery and shelter building, while still others teach about the environment and the animals.
