On Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 9:45 p.m., Officer J. Fenlon of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop near Lexington Drive and Middletown Road, in Waldorf after observing a speeding violation. Upon approaching the car, Officer Fenlon detected the strong odor of marijuana. Further investigation led to the discovery of a bag of marijuana inside the vehicle as well as four additional bags with residual marijuana. The occupants of the car, Tyron Lamar Cook, 25, of Waldorf and Jordan De Ryan Brazelton, 25, of Ft. Washington, were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute drugs. According to court documents Cook went before District Court Commissioner Hilda Gilroy, and was released on his own personal recognizance, and Brazelton went before District Court Commissioner Rhonda Shoulders, and was also released on his own personal recognizance.
