BAE Systems Electrical Engineer to Speak at Women + Math Jillian Warner to Share Career Experiences at CSM Event for Girls Ages 13 and Older The College of Southern Maryland is hosting its ninth Women + Math: Infinite Possibilities, a career exploration event for girls ages 13 and older. The event, April 20 at the college’s La Plata Campus, will feature more than 15 career professionals who work in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields—all are women. “The event will highlight the exciting fields that are open to women today that rely heavily on mathematics skills. By connecting young women with computer scientists, meteorologists, architects, nurses and engineers, we hope to entice female students to take more math classes while in middle and high school so that they too can rise to the top of a STEM profession,” said CSM Professor Sandra Poinsett, Women + Math coordinator along with Associate Professor Stephanie McCaslin.
