Open to the Public April 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. & April 14 from 10 am to 3 pm Fort Frederick State Park, 11100 Fort Frederick Rd, Big Pool Cost: Residents: $3 per car; Out-of-state: $5 a car Contact: 301-842-2155 Members of the Royal American Regiment and Maryland Rangers will take visitors on a journey back in time as they reenact what life was like at the fort during the French and Indian War. Highlights include musket firing demonstrations, open hearth cooking, a uniform and clothing presentation, and children’s military drills. Visitors may also join soldiers in the search for a French raiding party, taking place at 11 a.m. on both days. Children of all ages can step into the shoes of the soldiers as they learn to march and maneuver in 18th century fashion, set for 1 and 3 p.m. on both days.
