On April 16, 2013 at 9:50 pm, a fire at 25825 Friendship School Road in Oakville was discovered by a neighbor. The single story wood framed house, owned by Andrew Quade, had been vacant. Hollywood, Mechanicsville, Leonardtown, Seventh District and Bay District Volunteer Fire Departments responded and had the fire under control in 5 minutes. The fire was believed to have started in the exterior crawl space and is under investigation at the present time. The estimated loss is $20,000.
