Alabama Bookkeeper Shares What ‘Comp Time’ Bill Would Mean for Her & Millions of Hardworking Americans Karen DeLoach, a bookkeeper from Montgomery, AL, mother of three and grandmother of six, is one of the millions of hardworking Americans struggling every day to balance the demands of work and family. In a new video out today, Karen shares her story and lends her support to the Working Families Flexibility Act, legislation introduced by Rep. Martha Roby (R-AL) and passed by the House Education & the Workforce Committee that will allow workers to receive ‘comp time’ versus extra pay for overtime hours worked, giving them the flexibility to attend a school play, care for a sick parent, or spend that time however they choose.
