On Tuesday, January 29, 2013, the Calvert Board of County Commissioners proclaimed the week of February 1 thru the 10th to be Restaurant Week. This is a very popular and successful event throughout the United States. Calvert County has a number of exceptional restaurants. During Restaurant Week, they will offer special menus at discounted prices, promoting their businesses to tourists, residents, and first time diners. This week will offer a period of extraordinary value as well as local pride. Citizens and visitors will have an opportunity to experience a wealth of dining opportunities. You will be able to choose to eat lunch or dinner specials. There are 36 dining spots signed up to participate from North Beach to Solomons. They can be found at www.ChooseCalvert.com/RestaurantWeek. The restaurant owners, managers, and staff generously lend their time, resources, and expertise in local causes throughout the year and the county felt that a week focused on their businesses was very deserving. Therefore, the BOCC claimed the week of February 1-10 be known as “Restaurant Week” in Calvert County.
