On Thursday, May, 16 at 11:55 pm, firefighters from Pax River, Bay District and Valley Lee were alerted to report of a possible trailer fire, in the 21000 block of Prather Drive, in Lexington Park. Rescue personnel were advised there was an elderly resident that was unable to evacuate the trailer. Crews arrived on the scene to discover a trailer with light smoke inside, firefighters were able to vent the smoke from the trailer, and determined the smoke was caused by a malfunctioning HVAC unit. Firefighters were on scene for a little over 30 minutes. No injuries were reported.
