Lynn McCoy of Jews for Jesus will speak at Saint Paul United Methodist Church on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 8:30, 9:40 and 11:00 am. Pastor David Graves invites all to attend. Jews for Jesus uses creative methods and contemporary issues to present the message that Jesus is the Messiah to Jewish people around the world. “My father was an officer at the Orthodox synagogue where my family attended,” says McCoy. “In college I was exposed to many religions, but adhered to none. I knew intuitively that there could only be one truth about God. When someone from Jews for Jesus spoke at my university, I came out of curiosity. I was fascinated that a Jewish person could believe in Jesus. I agreed to read a book entitled Y’shua, The Jewish Way to Say Jesus, by Moishe Rosen, which is an argument for the Messiahship of Jesus based on the Hebrew prophets. It was convincing, and that (in 1983) was the beginning of my faith in Jesus.” After graduating from the University of Hartford (Connecticut), Mc Coy joined the staff of Jews for Jesus in 1987. She has since earned her M.A. in Missiology from Fuller School of World Missions. [...]
