Pitch in and help spruce up your community The Department of Public Facilities, Environmental Resources Division is offering assistance to Waldorf homeowners’ associations and neighborhoods planning community cleanups. Supplies and disposal services are being provided as part of the Waldorf Beautification Project, an ongoing initiative designed to give businesses, homeowners’ associations, civic and charitable organizations, students, and caring neighbors an opportunity to join together to make a difference in Waldorf. Residents interested in scheduling a community cleanup during April or May should call 301-932-3599 or 301-870-2778. Depending on community needs, Environmental Resources Division will supply the following: • Bulk trash removal • Trashbags • Disposal Service • Gloves • Mulch and/or compost The deadline to request community cleanup assistance is Tuesday, April 30. Volunteers interested in participating should contact their homeowners’ association or the Environmental Resources Division to sign up for a local community cleanup.
