This is to advise you that Governor Martin O’Malley has ordered the Maryland State Flag flown at half-staff immediately. This is in memory of Delegate Hattie Harrison, who died yesterday. Delegate Harrison represented District 45 in Baltimore City since 1973. She was the longest serving member of the House of Delegates. The flag shall continue to be flown at half-staff until sunset on the day of interment. This office will send an additional notice when the date of interment is released. This action is taken under the Protocol for the United States and Maryland State Flag. Any questions on the above should be directed to the Office of the Secretary of State.
